Front Of Stage - Pit Management

BBP Security Services pride ourselves in having an extremely good pit team, who have all completed our own in house front of stage pit management course, and all have experience in the hectic pit environment.

We regularly run refresher courses for all our pit teams, and will not allow anyone to enter the pit until they have successfully completed our training course.

The training course involves theoretical information about the origins of the pit, and also health and safety issues that arise in the pit.

The 2nd part of the training involves actual scenarios in the pit environment, where a barrier is erected music and lights used to recreate as near as possible a real life situation, everyone is put in as a member of the pit team and also as a member of the audience.

Proper lifting procedures are observed, as well as being shown what to look out for if an individual in the crowd may be in distress.

At the Civic halls we have supplied the pit for various bands that have played the venue, such as: The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, Drowning Pool, Ill Nino, Franz Ferdinand and many others.

BBP Security have also regularly supply pit staff to the JJB Sports tent at V festival (Weston Park) and also supplied pit staff for the series of Robbie Williams shows at Knebworth.
